Construction of the HV/MV Primary Substation named “Basciano”

The project involves the construction of a primary substation to upgrade the local electricity distribution network. The facility will consist of a high-voltage (HV) section, two 40 MVA (132/20 kV) HV/MV power transformers installed outdoors, and a medium-voltage (MV) section using 24 kV AIS technology, housed within a two-storey building.

The plant layout will enable optimised management of space and equipment, whilst ensuring high standards of safety, accessibility and maintenance. All systems will be equipped with advanced devices for protection, control, management and remote monitoring.

The substation will be connected to the national grid in a feed-in/feed-out configuration on the 132 kV RTN line “Golden Lady – Cellino Attanasio”, ensuring operational continuity and service reliability.
