Project description
The San Giorgio Main Substation is connected in a feed-through configuration and powered by the 150-kV RTN underground high-voltage line “Misterbianco-Zia Lisa.” This connection links it to Terna’s ‘Misterbianco’ substation and the “Zia Lisa” Main Substation. The substation complies with the “Liberty 1A” standard, with some variations: only one power transformer is installed, there is a second container, and provisions have been made for a possible future connection of a third HV line.
The main technical characteristics of the system are:
– HV operating voltage: 150 kV
– HV current rating: 1250 A
– Three-phase short-circuit current AT: max 31.5 kA
– MV operating voltage: 20 kV
– MV rated current: 1600 A
Occupied area
Primary cabin with AT section
Rated current AT
Rated current MT
