Project description

The 150-kV Cancello e Arnone Electrical Substation was built to connect a 13.54 MWp photovoltaic plant to the grid. The plant is located on a flat area connected to the municipal road network and is linked to the Castel Volturno Primary Substation via a high-voltage line approximately 70 meters long.

The project involved the installation of a substation equipped with HV and MV equipment, including power transformers with a capacity of 16/20 MVA (150/20 kV). The MV section is equipped with protection and control systems housed within a prefabricated building (Control Building) measuring 18.35 x 4.25 m.

The facility operates at a high-voltage (HV) operating voltage of 150 kV and a medium-voltage (MV) operating voltage of 20 kV. The substation is enclosed by a reinforced concrete and galvanized steel fence and includes a drainage system for managing stormwater.
