Construction of the HV/MV Primary Substation named “Lunano”

The project involves the construction and subsequent commissioning of a primary substation designed to upgrade and optimize the local power grid. The facility will consist of a high-voltage (HV) section with hybrid modules, two 40 MVA (132/20 kV) HV/MV power transformers installed outdoors, and a medium-voltage (MV) section built using 24 kV AIS technology, housed inside prefabricated containers.

The control room will be equipped with advanced systems for the protection, operation, monitoring, and remote control of the facilities, ensuring high standards of reliability and service continuity. Particular attention will be paid to equipment integration and space optimization, as well as to operational and maintenance safety.

The plant will be connected to the national power grid in a 132-kV double-circuit configuration, via a feed-in/feed-out connection on the “Sassocorvaro – S. Angelo in V.” transmission line, thereby ensuring high operational flexibility and system redundancy.
