Project description
The Cinigiano Main Substation is connected in a feed-in/feed-out configuration and is powered by the 132-kV RTN “Paganico–Murci” high-voltage overhead line. The facility is located on a plot of land originally used for agricultural purposes, covering approximately 9,170 square meters.
The project involved the installation of a primary substation with a high-voltage (HV) section and two outdoor power transformers, each with a capacity of 25 MVA (132/15 kV). The medium-voltage (MV) section is equipped with 24 kV AIS switchgear in a two-level configuration. The protection, control, and remote monitoring equipment is housed in a dedicated building.
The substation operates at a high-voltage (HV) operating voltage of 132 kV and a medium-voltage (MV) operating voltage of 15 kV, with a rated current of 2,500 A.
